ABOUT US
At Van Houten Medical Company the patient comes first and is given the opportunity to take an active role in their health care management. We believe that less medicine is better than more medicine, but medicines serve a purpose in the management of certain disease processes. We will inform you of options for treatment and help you make educated decisions about your health care plan.
As a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Van Houten is a Primary Care Provider who can meet the needs for your entire family. We help manage your chronic health concerns and can treat acute needs such as lacerations in need of stitches/staples, determining if a bone is broken, minor burns, wounds, chest pain, changes in mental status, and other situations. We are partnered with Houston Methodist West Hospital to monitor student athletes as they compete and provide initial Sports Medicine care as needed.
We also have a network of local/rural and urban specialists to assist with additional Orthopedics, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Rheumatology, ENT, OB/Gyn, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Counseling, Pain Management, and other concerns. Dr. Van Houten is credentialed with Houston Methodist West Hospital and can facilitate acute care management for patients requiring hospitalization.
As a patient of Dr. Van Houten, you can expect contact from our RN to monitor your progress and ensure healthy outcomes. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Van Houten Medical family.
